What can the Grand Tour do that is new and fresh while still being educational and factual?

Last season’s Celebrity Brain Crash was a bit of an odd segment, none of the celebrities actually made it on, but instead were maimed, killed or died an otherwise horrible death.

But this is a new season and the producers want something fresh, and are axing that segment.

So as always the think tank of Clarskon, Hammond and May got together to decide what they could do next. And with no shortage of ideas Jeremy decides to slice an Alfa in half, literally, and have the celebrities lap the “Halfa Romeo” as christened by Clarkson on their track.

Turns out that the Halfa is pretty much un-driveable , but ultimately hilarious to watch as James spins off the track. A few others try their luck but all end up crashing.

The jury is still out on whether or not this very creative new bit will end up on the show when it airs on December 8th but regardless the footage it creates makes for very entertaining, and possibly viral TV.
